LEADERSHIP. FRIENDSHIP. SERVICE.
Alpha Phi Omega is a national, co-ed service fraternity that has set the standard for college campus-based volunteerism since 1925. We have active chapters on over 350 campuses, and we strive to help each individual member develop leadership skills, experience friendship on many levels and provide service to others. We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
The Kappa Sigma chapter was established in 1952 at California State University at Sacramento. Read more of our history here.

Co-Ed & Diverse
We have an open membership policy, and as a result we are a diverse organization. We welcome anyone regardless of religion, race, gender, sexual orientation, or political opinion.
Service
We are a Service fraternity, rather than a social fraternity. Our main purpose is to provide service, here on campus, throughout our community, we even extend our service to projects that are national and international.
Some projects that we've done in the past include:
-
Hosting Food and Clothes Drives
-
Building Houses with Habitat for Humanity

Although our main focus is Service, we are still a Fraternity. And we hold various fellowships where we have a chance to have fun. As a pledge you will participate in ceremonies that each of us have gone through, you will have a Big Brother that will help guide you through your pledging process, and you will learn about our Fraternity’s history. We have a strict no-hazing policy.
